Shake Up Learning 101: Which SUL Book Do I Need?

Shake Up Learning for K-12 Educators

First, the entirety of the Shake Up Learning book series, ShakeUpLearning.com website, courses, podcasts, and additional resources are built for K-12 educators and educational leaders.

So far, there are three books in the series:

  1. Shake Up Learning: Practical Ideas to Move Learning From Static to Dynamic
  2. Blended Learning with Google: Your Guide to Dynamic Teaching and Learning
  3. Google A to Z: The Google Glossary for Teachers (a supplement to all the Shake Up Learning books and courses)

I do recommend that most teachers start with book one so you set the foundation for book number two.

If you need to know the WHY and foundational framework…

If you’re the kind of person who needs to know WHY you’re doing what you’re doing, then you must start with book one: Shake Up Learning: Practical Ideas to Move Learning From Static to Dynamic. This book outlines all the reasons why it’s time to Shake Up Learning. This three-part book goes in-depth into the why, the what–the Dynamic Learning Framework, and the how–lesson design, lesson plan templates, and lesson examples.

If you just want ACTION and you LOVE Google!

If you just want to DO THE DARN THING, and don’t need the why and in-depth framework, then you will be fine to jump into Blended Learning with Google: Your Guide to Dynamic Teaching and Learning. In this book, you will get a quick overview of the Dynamic Learning Framework and a lot more of the application of the framework with Google tools.

If you like a Quick Reference Guide…

The small supplement, Google A to Z: The Google Glossary, is super handy! Keep this nearby as your read the Shake Up Learning books, work through the courses, and as a general reference guide for all things Google!
